About Jake
JAKE VOELCKER FdA MNCPS (Acc.)
I’m Jake, my pronouns are he/him. I am a qualified counsellor based at the Whiteladies Therapy Rooms. Clients describe me as calm, caring, supportive and understanding.
I’m an integrative counsellor, which means I’m trained in multiple ways of working, and together we can find the style which suits you best. I specialise in helping with anxiety of various kinds including generalised anxiety disorder, social anxiety, panic/anxiety attacks and separation anxiety.
You may want help with a specific issue in your life. Or our work might be to gain insight into past experiences, and bring patterns of thought and behaviour to light. Or perhaps you feel you are already aware of the issues, but still cannot move beyond them? In this case we can take an experiential approach, gently processing the emotions and feelings together in our sessions.
Above all I always work relationally, doing my utmost to put you at your ease and make it feel natural, safe and even enjoyable to talk openly and freely.
